01Acceptance of these terms

By contacting CelluhDoulaServices LLC, by submitting a form on this website, by reserving a class seat or an appointment, or by engaging any doula in care, a visitor and a client agrees to be bound by the terms written here. They are honest, ordinary and written to be read, not buried.

If any part of these terms is unwanted, the remedy is simple: the person should not book care, should say so before a first visit, and may withdraw at any later moment with a single clear word or email. We would far rather lose a booking gently than hold a family to words they never truly agreed to carry.

These terms take effect on the earliest of the events listed above and continue in force for every service described below until the engagement closes, at which point the clauses that naturally survive, such as confidentiality and dispute handling, remain alive.

02The parties written about

The service provider named throughout is CelluhDoulaServices LLC, a limited liability company existing under the laws of the State of Utah and conducting care from its home office at 1353 S Sunset Dr, Kaysville - 84037-9688, United States (US).

The client is the adult who books or authorizes care for a pregnancy, a birthing person, a newborn or a household, whether that adult is the birthing person, a partner, a family member or a legal guardian of a child.

When we write the Company or we, we mean CelluhDoulaServices LLC and its staff, including doulas, educators and any helper a doula brings along with consent. When we write the client, we mean the adult who agreed to these terms and the household they describe.

03Nature of doula support

Doula care is supportive, educational, emotional and physical companionship around birth and early parenting. It is grounded in continuous presence, comfort measures, information, advocacy that stays within the client wishes, and practical household help during the postpartum window.

The value of a doula is real and well documented, yet it is a value of the kinds named above: helping a person cope, understand, feel heard and rest. Doulas do not set bones, suture, prescribe, dose, diagnose or perform the clinical skills that sit with licensed medical staff.

Because support is personal, results can never be guaranteed. A labor may move faster or slower than desired, an outcome may differ from a plan, and a fee is never owed solely because a particular birth experience was hoped for. We commit to effort, presence and honesty, never to a promised medical result.

04A clear line around medicine

No doula of CelluhDoulaServices LLC is a doctor, a nurse midwife, an obstetrician or a licensed clinician of that order, though individual team members may hold other professional credentials they disclose freely. Nothing in these pages should be read as medical advice.

If a client has a question that belongs to a clinician, such as whether a symptom is safe, how a medication works, whether induction is right or what a test means, a doula will say so plainly and encourage a call to the right provider. Our team will never quietly substitute a judgment in the place of an expert.

Doula support complements, and never replaces, the care of a midwife or physician. Booking with us is no reason to skip prenatal visits, and no client is asked to choose between their clinical team and ours, because both belong on the same page of care.

05How a booking begins

Care usually begins with a free, unhurried first conversation over the phone at +13313193606 or by email at direct@celludoulas.lol. That conversation is a chance for both sides to meet, ask questions and decide whether the fit feels right.

When a family wishes to continue, our team confirms availability for the intended service window, shares a written quote if one applies, and sets the care in motion with consent. A birth support booking often begins with an agreed retainer window covering the days around a due date.

Nothing is a confirmed booking until the client and a named member of the Company agree on the outline, in writing or by spoken word that is then confirmed by email. Until that moment, a curiosity is not yet an obligation and nothing has been bought.

06Intake and needs gathering

Before the first meaningful visit, our team will ask a handful of honest questions needed to serve safely: general health history as it relates to birth, feeding plans, household details that affect a home visit, emergency contacts and any strong preferences the family wants honored.

A family may answer every question or may decline any question that feels too wide. Where a skipped answer changes how safely we can help, the doula will say so and agree with the family on the safest alternative path.

Details shared during intake stay inside the practice under the promises of our separate Privacy Policy, which is available on this website and should be read together with these terms as one fair whole.

07Fees, deposits and quotes

Every fee is usually set in plain dollars in the confirmation of care. Birth doula support commonly involves a package charge that covers prenatal meetings, the on call window, continuous labor presence and an early postpartum visit.

Postpartum, overnight and class services are hourly or per session, and our team will say the rate in clear words before a family commits. A stated quote is honored for the term shown on it, so there are no surprise stairs of small print.

A deposit may be requested to hold a birth doula window, exactly because reserving a doula for a month means turning away other births. That deposit is described up front, and it seats upon the final package total for the pieces named in the agreement.

08Payment timing and methods

Birth packages are usually settled in two parts: a deposit to secure the window, and the balance due by an agreed date early in labor or just after the first postpartum visit, whichever the written outline states.

Hourly home care and class fees are normally settled by the end of each visit or class, or on a short billed schedule for repeat arrangements such as standing newborn nights.

We accept the ordinary methods most families expect, including cards, bank transfers and cash where agreed. Items due and still unpaid after their term may, after a friendly reminder, be treated as an outstanding account in line with the dispute and collection section below.

09Cancellations made by a client

Life with a pregnant body or a newborn is unpredictable, and no family should fear a kind and early phone call.

For hourly postpartum and class visits, a visit cancelled with at least twenty four hours notice is generally not charged and may be rescheduled once without penalty. A visit cancelled inside twenty four hours may still be billed at the discretion described at booking, since that slot could not be offered to another family.

For a full birth package cancelled after the deposit window has begun, the deposit is generally not refundable because it reserved a doula against other work. Where a family must cancel because of a clear loss, an early birth far outside the window, a move or another honest reason, our team will review the case with warmth and return whatever can fairly be returned.

10Closures or changes by our team

Rarely, illness, weather, a family emergency or another true event stops a doula from arriving. When that happens, our team will contact the client as soon as a plan becomes clear, explain with honesty and offer the fastest fair recovery.

Where a promised home care or overnight visit cannot be given at all, the hours are not charged and are rescheduled at the earliest agreed moment or credited toward a future visit. No money is kept for a visit nobody received.

For birth support, every contracted labor window is backed by a named back up doula as set out below, so a client is never left with nothing to lean on in the middle of the night because one body became ill.

11On call coverage and back up

A birth doula is on call for the family around the agreed window, normally the weeks on each side of a due date. Being on call means keeping the phone near, keeping the bag ready and being reachable when labor begins.

Because no single human can guarantee presence through every possible overlap, each client is introduced, early on, to a qualified back up doula from our extended network. If the primary doula cannot reach the birth, the back up steps in so a family still feels held, and we communicate this transition promptly and kindly.

Occasionally a doula may need a brief rest shift at a very long birth, resting in the room while a partner or back up covers for two hours, then returning fresh. This honest rhythm protects the quality of the entire stay.

12Home visits and household rules

Home is where most of our care happens, so a few gentle house rules keep everyone at ease. Doulas arrive by the agreed entrance, wash hands on the way in and keep personal phone noise low and away from the feeding chair.

Households agree to keep the doula reasonably safe: clear icy steps in winter, keep pets from jumping on team members where a bite is a risk, and tell us of any household hazard, allergy or tension that could matter during a visit.

If at any moment the environment feels unsafe for a doula, whether from a pet, a person or a condition, the doula may pause the visit, step away and return only when the household can honestly be safe. Striking a doula, threatening one or damaging that household trust ends care for that family at once.

13Classes and online sessions

Childbirth education and wellness workshops are offered in person at our Kaysville teaching space or online through a video link. A reserved seat is for the named family who booked it, and it may include the birthing person plus an agreed number of partners.

Online sessions ask for a place with decent internet and some privacy, because the subjects deserve discretion. Recording a session by a client for personal review is allowed only with our spoken permission, and our own recordings are never shared beyond the class for which they are shown.

Class materials, handouts and slide decks are meant for the enrolled family alone. Passing them to others, copying them for sale or presenting them as one own work steps past the respect these terms ask for.

14Newborn night agreements

Newborn care nights run on an agreed schedule, commonly six to ten hours between evening and morning. The exact hours, turnaround point and the feeding plan are set before the first night so parent and doula share one script.

During the night the doula tends baby with feeds as arranged, changes, soothing and gentle rhythm keeping, and quietly leaves the home fitter than it was found. Parents stay reachable but genuinely off duty, and baby always sleeps in a safe, flat sleep space in the parent room with a monitoring call on.

A night may be rescheduled for a sick baby or an emergency without penalty when notice is genuinely possible. Where nights are sold as a weekly block, a used single night may be swapped within the week whenever space truly allows.

15Photos, quotes and your story

Sometimes a family shares the joy of a birth with a quote, a drawing or a photograph, and sometimes we would love to learn quietly from our own work. Both matter only with clear, separate consent.

No image of a client face or any image that would identify a newborn is ever used in our materials, website or social pages without a written release signed after the birth, when a family can decide with clear eyes and full rest.

Consent for a testimonial or a photo may be withdrawn at any time by a one line note to direct@celludoulas.lol, and we honor that removal quickly by taking the material down and stopping any further use of it.

16Conduct each side can expect

Kindness is the floor of every relationship. Clients can expect doulas who arrive on time, listen well, keep confidence, stay within their role and treat the family home as a place of privilege and respect.

The Company expects the same warmth in turn: honest scheduling, accurate health information that affects safety, courtesy toward team members and payment on the fair agreed terms. Most families exceed every one of these with ease.

Any abusive words, threats, unwanted touch toward a doula, or demands that cross clearly named lines allow the Company to end care immediately for safety, with a fair refund of unused prepaid hours but no refund for completed work.

17Confidential conversations

Almost everything shared in care is kept private by the wider promises of our Privacy Policy. This section repeats the heart of it in one plain note: a doula does not repeat the stories of one family to another or to the world.

The narrow exceptions already named remain true: a named covering doula or our own staff in service of the visit, licensed help involved with consent, and the rare legal duty to report a risk of serious harm to a child or a vulnerable adult.

That confidentiality outlives the care. When a client becomes a past client, their story does not ride into the next room, and team members carry no tales between households beyond an honest, impersonal note about a neat trick or a helpful lesson.

18Limits of our responsibility

These lines describe how far responsibility reaches and are written to be fair to both sides. They do not attempt to remove rights that the law will not allow us to remove.

Because doula care is supportive rather than medical, the Company accepts responsibility for honest errors, missed appointments and carelessness on our part. We do not accept responsibility for the medical events of a labor or birth, which remain under the charge of the licensed clinical care a client has chosen, because a doula does not control those outcomes.

Our total responsibility in any matter is capped at the total fees actually paid for the service in question, a fair and understandable limit for a small care practice, and no doula is asked to answer personally for events beyond the honest duties written here.

19Resolving disagreements

When something goes sideways, we would always rather talk than argue. A client with a concern is asked to raise it first with the doula involved, then, if still unresolved, with the lead team at direct@celludoulas.lol or at +13313193606.

Most honest disputes are settled in one warm conversation, because both sides want the same thing at heart. If that does not resolve it, a neutral third party, a small claims style mediator who knows family care, may be invited to help before any formal process begins.

Where any formal legal matter must follow, it will be heard only in the State of Utah, in a court with jurisdiction over Davis County, where the Company has its principal home at 1353 S Sunset Dr, Kaysville - 84037-9688, United States (US).

20Other house rules worth keeping

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between the sides for the services they describe, and no separate verbal promise from a past chat overrides the written word unless put in writing by the lead team.

Should any single sentence of these terms be found unenforceable, the rest remain standing, trimmed of only the offending clause. The headings in these pages are conveniences for the reader and carry no legal meaning of their own.

As our care grows, so may these terms, and we will tell past and future families of any big revision in plain words and plain time so there is always a chance to ask, to object or to read again. CelluhDoulaServices LLC thanks every family who reads this far and then simply asks us a question, because a careful reader usually becomes our calmest client.

We wrote these terms the way we wish more services wrote theirs: clear, warm and honest.
